Lukas

No matter how quiet a village you hail from, in the hands of a capable teacher, one can become every bit as strong as a royal knight. I find that thought quite inspiring.

Orphaned by the conflict between Light and Lightning before he even hatched, Lukas has spent his life trying to prove his worth. Despite serving his home clan and becoming a celebrated knight, he was forced out of their territory when his adoptive parent was forced to reveal the truth about his real parents and lack of "noble" blood. Struggling to cope and seeking to regain some sense of honor, he sought to end his life by recklessly seeking out fights on the border with Lightning. When Lukas was found on the verge of death by one of the clan's patrols, Thorn took pity on him and offered him a home and a purpose as a trainer of recruits.

By all appearances Lukas seems to be one of the more stable staff members at ETC B-4, generally exuding an air of calmness and strength. He's well liked due to his dependability both in and out of battle, but he feels his cool demeanor has prevented him from making real connections. Plagued with insecurity about being accepted by others within the clan, Lukas keeps his distance emotionally out of fear of rejection. He admires and respects Astaroth like no other, and his interactions with the viper are some of the few times he truly lets his guard down.

Despite originally being from Light, Lukas has pledged complete and unwavering loyalty to Lightning and the Stormcatcher. After all, in his life the dragons of Light rejected him while those of this Lightning clan saw his value. He still holds love for his homeland however, and hopes one day to return to it and inspire change.

Emperor Expedition

After hearing the news of the rise of Luminax, the Emperor wreaking havoc in Light territory, Lukas immediately knew he must return. This was not the situation he wanted to return to, but having lived directly in the area Luminax was now destroying he knew he must do his best to save whatever dragons were still there. He also plans to be one of the first to defend Lightning territory should the monstrosity turn its gaze toward the Expanse, he will not let down the clan and dragons who saved his life.
