An ambitious warrior who made one too many enemies, or one too many friends. He was injured and left to die by those he'd relied upon.

It was fortune, or perhaps fate, that had Ariadne and the crew of the Arnvindr find him then, and give him aid. Zeal was given safe passage, along with the stolen egg he'd concealed along the way.

When the hatchling was born in Brightwinter, and the truth of his ordeal became clear, Glacia was tempted to banish him, but gave him the option to work off his crime instead. Since then, Zeal has become a valued member of the clan, even to Glacia, and is often found training candidates for exaltation or acting as a guard on Ari's travels. He has even been entrusted with carrying out diplomatic tasks for the clan, including seeking new allies and making deals. While he has proven himself worthy of the task, and shrewd in doing so, there are still those who find his past - or the gleam of ambition still in his eye - reason for pause.
