Born with a weak heart, his clan had intended him for exaltation to the neighbouring deity (a Tundra could never swim with all that fluff on him, they thought). However, upon land, he found himself in the company of two dragons fighting on the nearby bank of the sluggish river. Not noticing him at first, he was almost caught in the midst of their battle. The fright set off something of a small heart attack and he collapsed amongst the bracken. Luckily his bright colours got him found in time to avoid being hurt and he was taken home with the two who had been fighting. He eventually made a full recovery and was adopted into the fighters' clan.
Lester, even from a young age, displays a remarkable talent for art. Many who say that the murky and limited pigments found in the soil of the Shadow territory aren't suitable for such a purpose have obviously never seen the work he's produced. Most of his communication is throw drawing or writing, and his favourite past-time is to sit just outside the lair and paint the other dragons.
