Prince

Yes, we know, odd is hardly a character trait, but hear us out.
Prince is unusual in a number of ways. For one, he has passionately rejected every gene scroll he's been presented with, but otherwise demands the clan's greatest finery. He's young, but parades around like he owns us. But the strangest thing about hims is that he seems immune to Spanx's (and Xnaps') magic.
This would be a great boon in the fight for independence, but he seems totally preoccupied. Everything he encounters-- dragonmade or natural-- he treats like something not good enough for him, but something he'll settle for out of the goodness of his heart. Sometimes he'll mention that it's "not what I'm used to" or liken it to something "back at home". He won't say where "home" is, but we can only guess Light territory. He wanders around critiquing things at random. I don't think anyone knows where he eats or sleeps.
The unnamed mage thinks he's overacting for attention, but can't explain his habits or situation. Arabella gives a little more leeway, but neither think everything he implies is as serious as it sounds. Their opinions make him unpopular in the clan.


"This dragon is unusual and, dare we say it, a little special.
For one, he wandered into camp. That's not supposed to happen, since the clan's peninsula is totally surrounded by miles of warded forest, so at first the clan kind of thought the magic was breaking down.
But then he started making these weird demands; the little guy wanted into our hoard and stuff. He didn't seem old enough to talk, let alone boss the clan around, so we let him into the bestiary and he pulled out a recently-acquired Calculating Candelabra. He seemed very pleased to see it. It did not seem pleased to see him.
For the moment, the Forest Spirit has custody of him, though Dune seems very interested in his presence (and rightfully so.) He doesn't have a name yet, but if he keeps making demands that'll change soon."
