Draupnir, adopted son

Ezikiel was born in the prime of the Mirrorlight promenade time. His childhood was rich and full of adventure, and he quickly saw the potential of his writing skills. He was adopted from the Ashfull Waste, but has never missed home. The cool, green grass and the shadows of the trees always appealed more than the radiating warmth of his original home. He likes to hide in the grass, and sleep outside in the damp dew of the morning mist.

He works closely with Anpiel, and has finally started to write down the clan Lore, a work he enjoys immensely. He carries the Light tome with him wherever he goes, and his flying familiar helps him keep track of notes and direct dialogue.
He started by writing smaller poems and stories about others, and mocks those he sees needs to step down from their high pillars.

Galdur is Ezikiel's best friend, and Ezikiel has written many funny stories about the two of them. The most scandalous one where they were lovers, separated by time and distance. Galdur wasn't too offended about that, though. It was a hysterical satire, one they re-read many times by themselves. More of his imaginary work hasn't been shown to many, but Galdur has a reasonable insight in most of his writing, giving helpful critic and laughing at the right places.

Ezikiel recently met with the new dragons and newly-hatched eggs. He took an immediate liking to the little glowing spiral, and dotes around him like a confused parent. The egg-mother tuts at him,
showing him off when he's too over-bearing.

How Ezikiel got Draupnir
"I knew this would happen to you, this is why you gotta get eggs on your own so you don't go around adopting other people's hatchlings," the egg-mothering bogsneak shakes her head. Ezikiel twirls the smaller spiral into his tail and makes ridiculous noises at him. "Oh come on, he's adorable,
look at his little wings! Aren't that the smallest little wings you've ever seen!" He stretches out Draupnir's back legs with a grin. The bogsneak smacks him on the head. "ow! jeez calm down!"
She's plucking the spiral from his grip, still frowning. "He's fine right here, he's got a friend and we have it under control."
"but I can--" she interrupts him. "you canNOT. You are not fit to parent, and you don't have a mate.. let alone stable housing, bushes and trees do not count." She puts him down in the nest, and Draupnir's attention stays on Ezikiel. He's waving his little legs around, trying to see the appeal of small wings.

"But he's a spiral! He'll love trees! I can build a treehut! I swear to Lampmom I know how to make one! And he can come with me, I can learn him how to read!" Ezikiel tries to look past her body to the smaller dragon. The egg-mother narrows her eyes at him.
"In 2 days he'll grow old enough to learn how to fly. Are you prepared for such responsibility? This will take more attention than whatever you write in that tome of yours."
He nods frantically. "Absolutely! 100% prepared, no worries I've got it covered! No sharp sticks to poke out eyes, no venomous food or creatures, I'll go fishing with him! We can make snow-dragons in the winter!" He's pleading, folding his hands together while twirling in circles, trying to stay still and show his seriousness.

She has to give in.
"Fine." She starts. "YES!" she holds him back for one moment. "But if anything goes wrong, I'll watch over him ok? Anytime you have questions or need help, come to me."
He nods violently, shaking her whole arm in gratitude. "Deal! No worries!"

"Did you hear that lil dude? You're coming with me, I can make you fried scamander how about that? We can get you a plushie and stuff!" He picks up the smaller dragon, who squeals in delight while he continues to ramble to him in an exaggerated voice.

The bogsneak shakes her head in disbelief. At least that's one less hatchling to worry about.

After the leader change
He's never been more angry in his life. After moving into the over-romanticized ancient lair, there's been trouble all around. Anpiel was deemed unfit as leader, something he can't exactly disagree with. What he can complain and worry about, however, is the way the council simply put her daughter in charge, without recognizing her as another poor fit for profession.

Galdur and Draupnir advice him not to be too close to the leaders in this time of uncertainty, but he has responsibility as scribe, and he'll need all the inside information he can get, if he ever wishes to fix this mess. First thing Tendanor asked of him was to read the Light tome, and see what he had written down as lore. She got a snipet from the long conversation he had with Anpiel, and has snorted at what was written there.

"I will advice you to get a new tome, Ezikiel, one that will be filled with far better knowledge than what my meekly mother could offer."
He'll never quite get over that, and the anger is still brewing in him somewhere. The lava of his origin itself might've taken place in his veins for all he knows, the injustice of it all.

He tried to find Anpiel, to get her to talk to her daughter, but Anpiel had disappeared from Sornieth it seemed. His next step will be to ask that plague-clan she was so friendly with, whether she had moved alliances or simply ran away. Ezikiel had met with Michael however, after seeing how he had tried his best to be leader instead of Tendanor. He didn't know much about him, except his status as strategist, a good one too if what he heard was right.

Michael could see through the new leader as clearly as Ezikiel could, and thus he started talking to him, finding an unlikely alliance in the lawfully good dragon. "The more the merrier," Ezikiel said, as he figured that he would have to assemble and educate the masses on the whereabouts of their poorly trusted superior.
