Heofon is an old soul in personality. He's deeply contemplative and level-headed. This was true for him even as a mirror. As unlike the average mirror as he was, he is equally unlike most pearlcatchers now. He sees himself no better than any other dragon, save for his battle prowess, and fears nothing in a fight. Yet it is his battle skill that causes him the most disturbance. His kills haunt him - quite literally in most cases - causing significant unease until Sawol is able to guide them onwards. He is equally burdened by his name's meaning, for it is certainly vague and difficult to live up to. |

Heofon was born in the Starfall Isles as a mirror though he was unlike any roving pack he ever met. While the hunger was ever present, the viciousness was not and he grew tired of the company of fellow mirrors quickly. He was in the Ashfall Wastes when he split from the pack and travelled alone for quite some time before he joined the fledgling Wildifre clan. He became a part of an elite fighting team of himself, Eftborenra, and Faer. His main reason for joining such a team despite his lack of interest in violence was because of his name. He sought to discover the meaning of his name.
Time passed and Heofon fell in love with a pearlcatcher who would later be known as Taeflian. They were an interesting pair, to be certain, since their species were typically opposites of each other in nature. They got on well despite that and with Taeflian's encouragement Heofon requested a change of species to a pearlcatcher should the clan be able to afford it. Despite being still relatively low in funds, the clan used his earnings from arena battles in order to seek out the breed change magic. His change to a pearlcatcher was not without it's difficulties. Pearlcatchers hold their pearls sacred but Heofon was not born with the instinct to create one nor was he physically able to even when he attempted to eat the shell remnants of non-pearlcatcher hatchlings in the clan.
Heofon adapted with the help of the clan and confused many enemies by being a physical battler and entirely fearless despite being a pearlcatcher. Taeflian eventually learned of her name and its meaning and Heofon was crushed when she left not only him but the clan. The spirits of those who he felled in battle gravitated towards his nature and burdened him near cripplingly until Sawol joined the clan. Her unique abilities eased his consciousness of the spiritual burden and in return he sought to protect her from her own nightmares. The two are closer than any other mated pair in the clan due to their unique co-dependence and both suffer considerably when Heofon and the other battlers have to travel.
