______ The partner of Giri Poison came to the Lair much later than the pale Nocturne. Originally raised by a Shadow Clan he is careful to cultivate the impression of being raised in the Ashfall Wastes to divert suspicion. His adopted family were a group of feared assassins and ruthless mercenaries, known for their ability to literally blend into the shadows. They taught him how to hunt, fight and kill and though he was no worse at it than his Shadow flight siblings he found he didn't have the heart to take the lives of others. Using the Search as an excuse he said goodbye to his family and left the Tangled Woods on a pilgrimage to find himself. To his surprise it was in the Viridian Labyrinth that he found his calling. Feeding the Shadow Serpents whose shed skins were the calling card of his family had been his favorite chore and Poison discovered the elemental heritage that warmed his scales attracted reptiles. He enjoyed finding out about the different species of snake from the locals, from the venomous snakes with their bright banded bodies to the larger constrictors that coiled up his arms. Though the Gladekeeper's lands were far too wet for his liking he left with a greater knowledge of his path in life and several slithery friends. With his pet serpents Soba, Maifen, Ramen, Somen, Yakisoba and Udon the Shadow Serpent Poison made his way into the Windswept Plateau to purchase a scroll of Breed Change. It was there he met Duty.

______ Though after changing from a Guardian the pull to a Charge was lessened he found his focus on things that interested him overrode a spiral's flighty attention span. Aside from snakes the only thing that held his interest to that degree was Duty. From their first meeting Poison found him fascinating. Determined that the handsome Nocturne must never discover his indelicate past he strives to imitate Hanami in all things charming. However he often slips up as he easily forgets what is considered normal and reveals some disturbing knowledge from his time as an assassin. Thankfully Giri just seems to view this as charming quirkiness.
