Copper is a very feisty dragon, who is known to be overprotective of her loved ones. The eldest member of this clan. Very sensitive. Really likes her magic crystals, don't touch them. She can be found digging and expanding the lair, spending her time with Lazuili, or planning and stressing herself or the next battle. She may try to be open-minded, but a childhood of bitter survival has made her pride very hard to earn. Definitely has a tough bite to go with her bark. She may be slowly going senile, but no one would dare ever admit that.

Description:
Reddish scales with a lighter underside, with calm violet wings and vibrant purple eyes. Her wings were very large and fins sprouted from the sides of her face. Her curved face was shifted into a wary look.

Past:
Copper wandered alone and determined in the night of the savanna. She had to make a new clan, a task from Arcanist himself. She did quite well for herself, actually. There were thousands of insects in the skies and a river was nearby. But she had to find another dragon...
She thought about her childhood. Surely every dragon had a moment of innocent as a hatchling. It was hard to recall, as it was many years ago. She remembered the smiling faces of two fancy-looking Fae dragons, probably her parents. She remembered being happy and free. Why couldn't she go back to then? She wondered how her parents were doing now, without her.
Copper trudged along. The cold was really settling in now. Suddenly she caught a glimpse of something in the distance. A limping and large figure. She quickly flew towards it. A Tundra dragon. But what was it doing here? He had beige and blue fur. She knew she had to help him. And she did just that. She dragged him along to her "hideout" and nursed him back to health. While he was sleeping, she'd always wonder how'd he'd gotten here. It was the middle of the summer, in the savanna no less. When he awoke, they'd introduced themselves. And so a bond was born, between Copper and her future mate, Lazuili.

Familiar:
Basilisk (Yes, Copper named him 'Basilisk') is very loyal companion and never leaves Copper's side. He loves to eat and is very wary to anyone other than Copper herself (and maybe Lazuili, as the large Tundra always sneaks him snacks).

"Copper narrows her eyes at the newcomers. Something about them doesn't settle well in her chest. Her mate, sweet soul that he is, has scolded her twice already for making snap decisions and chasing off potential allies. It's certainly rich, coming from a warrior. Regardless, she is trying to be civil. Really.

She manages quite well, only throwing a few suspicious glances their way every now and then. After all, they seem harmless enough. It's not until she is about to retire for the night, eyes itchy and aching from the strain of a long day of scribe work, that she hears them.

"Come now- Hestia, was it?- all we ask is a favor among friends..." She freezes, "you just have to keep quiet, that's all." At this, Copper's vision is beginning to haze over with a fiery magenta. When she hears the protests of her eldest daughter, Copper whips into a flurry of action.

The magical residue will make that part of the lair virtually uninhabitable afterwards, but her mate only meets her eyes in understanding." -NotQuiteToxic
