OVERVIEW
Good Humored • Forgetful • Shrewd • Intuitive 
A close friend to Glacia, he helped her re-form the clan after Lucan's fall from power. He is the social glue that holds many of the dragons in the clan together, and has been a welcoming face to many, helping them settle in and find their place within the clan or advising them to spread their wings and venture out into the wider world. Verrin is rather forgetful, although he can also often recall random facts that others might never remember. He is also extremely curious, and loves to learn, writing copious notes in an effort to remember everything he learns, and even simple things like his clan-mates names, birthdates, favorite foods, and the like. His habit of writing everything down means that he ends up recording most of the important happenings in the Clan, and although he can seldom recall the details or date, his tomes hold the answers almost without fail, if he can find where he filed that particular one, that is.... Verrin loves to travel, avidly collecting books, scrolls, trinkets, information and friends from across the varied landscapes of Sornieth, although with his role in the clan he finds himself unable to venture out as often these days. He takes great pleasure in exchanging letters and gifts with the friends he has met in other clans, allowing him to continue his adventures vicariously without ever leaving home. Still, he finds an excuse to get out when he can and meet new friends, whom he often recruits back to Brightwinter. He is open and friendly, seeming to take a personal interest in each clanmate and excells at recalling odd tidbits like a favorite type of tea, that few others would care to remember. Other dragons, even non-tundras, find themselves doing a double take every once in a while before they realize an old friend they didn't recognize is right before them, as Verrin has been known to change his colors with little warning - sometimes by accident - when he comes across a particular type of scroll. Those with a good nose always know, though! Despite his outgoing, cheerful, somewhat eccentric demeanor, Verrin is one of the shrewdest dragons in Brightwinter. He is never patronizing toward anyone, but at times the others realize just how smart he must be - Glacia has never once beaten him at chess or hackenbush, despite playing a match whenever they have the downtime to do so. It was Verrin's planning that helped ensure their mission to free the clan from Lucan succeeded, and without his help, they might never have done it, nor even found the glacier to begin with. And though his methods and ideals may not always be the lawful thing to do or even the most morally straightforward, they are always very well thought out and carefully executed, unlikely to go awry. Unless someone else doesn't follow the plan. (the plan was to kill Lucan, Glacia!  )VERRIN'S SCATTERSCROLL ADVENTURES AKA New Year New Verrin In his quest for knowledge, Verrin voraciously procures and pours over any scrolls, books, transcripts and information he can get his claws on from traders or from within Brightwinter's archives. In this pursuit of knowledge, he sometimes comes across scrolls with other, more arcane and puzzling effects. Sometimes these strike the scholar at random times, although it would seem he has begun to perhaps do it on purpose, even setting particularly ponderous ones aside as a sort of tick for his annual new year's party.... This is a log of those instances.
