Sabiya

“The party code is more what you’d call ‘guidelines’ than actual rules.”

Sabiya was born into an old traditional Zephyr Dancer clan on the Zephyr Steppes, and soon found the culture stifling. On her trips out to acquire trinkets and food for the clan, she discovered her first love, the Bay. Windstar Bay. Swooping low over the waves on a breezy day became her favorite game.

One day she saw something strange on the horizon and flew out to get a closer look. It was a merchant tradeship bringing plunder, er, goods, back from a voyage across the Bay. She signed on with the crew that day, never to return to her clan again.

The old captain and crew taught her to swing a cutlass with the best of them, drink a good brew, and fend off pirates. She learned the ways of wind and sails and developed a keen weather sense. She learned how to avoid the taxdragon and the best places to meet in secret. She rose through the ranks and eventually became the Captain, looking forward to sailing her beloved Bay and seeking treasures wherever she went...

It's the pirate's life for me

Sabiya’s life as a pirate was everything - all the rum, treasure, and daring brushes with the law that any dragon sailor could ever hope to have. Until one fateful day when a member of her crew caused a mutiny and took over her beloved ship, leaving her stranded on a small island so far from anything it would take days just to fly to land. The crew left her with just enough rum and treasure to drive herself mad.

Just when all hope seemed lost, Sabiya saw a ship in the distance with sails she had never seen before. For a long time she thought she was hallucinating and the ship wasn't really there. The ship got closer and closer until the crew came ashore and convinced her she was saved and not crazy! That day changed her life forever as she again moved up the ranks to eventual Captain once again, leading the Wind Chime into more history books and legends than any other ship on Windstar Bay.

The ship has many bamboo chimes that sing through storms and the crew thinks of it as Windsinger's Whispers with the chimes and the whip of the silk flags in the wind. The crew is experienced and Sabiya is respected as a tough trader and loved by all. It is rumored they have a secret island in the Bay, where they house their gold and most valued treasures, but beware, it is protected by spells and strong guards!

Sabiya stepped down as Captain
after the Battle of the Bay 3,
and created an even bigger ship.
She and her new crew decided
to travel not just Windstar Bay,
but the world.

Who knows where you'll end up when you just go where the wind takes you.
