Luce is very proudly a light dragon, despite the fact that his state as a Dawnling is something more akin to a condition than something to be praised for. He is of a breed of light dragon that were some of the earliest born Imperials, blessed by the Lightweaver more than the average dragon to the point of dependence on her glow. Generations have passed but some Dawnlings still remain, and history has not swayed Luce into being more cautious about his life. Despite how much his adoptive father tried to teach him, Luce very nearly has to rely on the light at all hours to keep himself within existence.

He doesn't let his condition slow him down in the least however, Luce largely goes wherever he pleases, wherever the light touches at least. He would very likely die if he was to venture within the Tangled Wood, and given the natural history between the flights he feels no need to.

But he does follow rumors, interesting dragons, stories, and songs, to their sources across Sornieth. For the time being he has stopped within the Dandelion Clan to assist their leader in his own quest for knowledge.
