Jouto
The Mother of the Clan QUIRKY ✕ COARSE ✕ ALLURING Jouto is the leader of this Plague clan. She is seen as a mother, who takes care of her family. A wise, elder lady, who is often seen chuckling to herself. She might seem a bit crooked, but in actuality is quite clever and intelligent. She is a cunning strategist, who has never needed help on keeping her clan stable and well. Jouto is intelligent, but also quite strong. She is easily underestimated by her looks and quirky manners, but she should never be taken too lightly. There is a reason for why she is a clan leader and why she has survived in such a good condition living in the wastelands of Plaguebringer. Jouto is quite daring and she has kept challenging herself in the rough conditions, which has brought her surprising strengths. The mutations from the Wyrmwound have toughened her skin and muscles, and she should be feared as a dangerous predator. Surprisingly she welcomes visitors with warmth, unlike many of her clan members. No matter if lost souls or curious explorers, Jouto will welcome them to her lair and offer her clan's services if they're needed. Be careful not to disrespect the clan or the flight of hers, since even if you'll be let out without a scratch, Jouto never forgets a face. Jouto means "waste" in Finnish. It's short for "joutomaa", which literally translates to wasteland. LAIR The clan leader's lair is located inside a larger cave, on the very back of the lair. It's surprisingly modest, but can be set apart by the outside decorations. There are some torn Plague banners swaying in the wing. There are also two rocks on both sides of the cave entrances. There are some kind of runes painted on the rocks. There are also bone chimes hung from the entrance. Inside of the cave is quite spacious. The ceiling is high and the walls are supported by wood and bone beams. There are also some torches hung around, which are lit with magical fire (so no danger of carbon monoxide poisoning!) that flickers in a sort of greenish light. There are many places for laying down, padded with comfortable hides and cloths. No particular throne anywhere, since Jouto doesn't want herself to be worshipped or anything. Her lair is open for anyone to visit, only place that's her own dome is the back room where she sleeps and does her personal magic rituals. It's not uncommon for the dragons to celebrate festivals together, using the cave as a part of the venue. At the same time all the dragons make sure that their leader lives in a tidy place and that she can have her own time whenever she wants it. |
