Silhouette couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned so much his wings ached, so he sat up. Then a mischevious thought came to mind. He would sneak into his clan's vault and find some soft feathers or silky fabric to sleep on tonight. Oh yes, tonight will bring a good sleep!

He snuck past all the sleeping figures and somehow managed his way into the vault without alerting anyone. He fumbled around for the lantern, almost knocking it over. Silhouette prayed no one would notice the soft glow. He definitely didn't want to be put on double cleaning duty if he was caught up past his bedtime.

He ran over the vault list carefully, making a mental note of where the feathers were located before setting off. He scoured the spot where the feathers should be to no avail. He kicked the dirt in frustration as he remembered that all the feathers had been taken to decorate their makeshift tree. He skulked back the the entrance, dejected, until he noticed the sakura moss hanging near a bookshelf.

He clambered up onto a table and attempted to tug some down. However, the moss was caught on a scroll buried underneath some books. Silouhette yanked so hard on the moss, the scroll tumbled down with it. The scroll unfurled and tangled the young Ridgeback up, glowing faintly. A small growl of annoyance emitted from his throat, gradually turning into a chirp.

Silhouette drew a sharp breath of air, slowly realizing what happened as the scroll vanished. What will his clan mates think?! He'll be stuck on cleaning duty for months! The young dragon been transformed into a Nocturne!
