Tracer, initially known as Lena, was an odd egg, to say the least. While she held the flame of knowledge inside her, it didn't lead to many good decisions. While some were harmless, others led to rather dangerous situations. She took on the adventuring spirit of Wind, likely inherited from her mother. It was this spirit that drew her to the Hewn City on that fateful day. She had gone many times before, but this was the first time without her sister Abba. While most trips ended with a hasty retreat, some would end with some amazing discoveries, and it was that sort of adventure Tracer craved on this trip. She soon found herself lost, and after many twists and turns, she stumbled across a team of Lightning Researchers studying anomalies in the City. She decided to watch from what she thought was a distance, curious as to what they found so interesting. She heard word of time anomalies, skips, and freezing. She was intrigued by this, especially when she realized the building under investigation was right behind her. Apparently it was frozen in time, and their devices were scanning the building to try and date it. She wondered what would happen if a living creature entered the building. She saw a small Citrine Cave Jewel that had wandered from it's den, and she lunged to grab it. She tripped, falling through the doorway to the building that looked fairly new... and staggered to a stop in an old, abandoned shell that had once been a grand structure. Within the span of seconds to the young drake, four months had passed. She ran out of the building, eyes wide and jaw snapping as she screeched for help, thinking that she'd somehow been kidnapped. She found her way home, and ran up to her parents, panicked. They, on the other hand, were relieved to see their daughter alive. Abba had died from injuries of the previous adventure while Lena had been away, and for a time her parents had thought little Lena had been killed. Their relief didn't last long, as they soon discovered their daughter could not eat the food presented to her. They raced to a healer, who was truly stumped by the matter. Lena couldn't hold anything, and she sometimes seemed to walk through established doors. As long as the object could be moved within a few months, the young drake couldn't touch it. During this visit, Lena blinked, and once again time had changed. An hour had passed, and it seemed that entire time she had just...stopped existing. None of them had a cure, and the healer came up with a name for this odd disorder: Chronal Disassociation. Her mother had just about given up, but her father, a Lightning dragon, had other ideas. He called upon a group of friends, and together they worked on a cure for his daughter's ailment. They learned that she never got hungry, and that her constant blinking made it seem like only days had passed when, in fact, it took many months for them to find a solution...and a nickname for their newest anomaly. That day, Lena came to be known as Tracer. The team had designed her Surgestream Coat specifically for the use of keeping her grounded in this reality. However, with it came a great power: time manipulation. The device on the coat allows her to control her own time to an extent, and she often uses it to blink forward and recall herself to times recently experienced or soon-to exist. One of these scientists currently dwells in the lair of the Clockwork Eclipse, and has officially taken Tracer in to monitor her alongside a doctor friend she has named Medic. It has been noted that, as of late, her glimmering scales and shimmering wings will glow shortly before and after her ability is used, creating a sort of flash effect. This has caused others to believe she is just manipulating the light around her to form the illusion of time manipulation. Only she, and her two friends, know the truth. She now scouts for the clan, and has become rather successful in her endeavors.
