Seralth had been around for many generations and had grown very old. He'd settled into the lair he had made for himself when he was younger, which was filled with the hoard he has accumulated. He fell into a deep slumber, from which he did not expect himself to wake.

Then he did.

He awoke and viewed his surroundings. It looked familiar, but something was different, something wasn't right. Then it hit him: his hoard was missing. Defensively, he slinked around the lair, looking for a trace of where his hoard went or who had taken it. He came across a small puddle and paused. What? This couldn’t be... He looked closer to make sure he wasn’t seeing things and, sure enough, he wasn’t imagining what he saw. He was a hatchling. If he had been reborn, why did only his age change? He looked the same, felt the same, and remembered most of what happened before he slumbered.
Using the knowledge that remained, he began wandering out of the lair to hunt, then coming back and eating whatever he brought. Quickly, he grew back into his previous adult size. Not too long after he had grown again, he met a dragon near his lair. They grew to become friends and he learned her name was Dapper. They became close and he shared his lair with her. He is now the protector of the clan’s hoard and often entertains the others with stories from both his current and previous life.
