The whispering, forever-young pearlcatcher pays no mind to your steps, no matter how heavy they are. She has already met you. Already foreseen your arrival. Your presence now is of no concern. She remains at the side of the General, though it may be that she leads the group more than Moonrise.

Born weak and ill, it wasn’t believed that Lisil would survive long at all. It was only with intervening by a strange dragon, a magic user who promised someone close to Lisil her survival. “The day she takes her final breath will never come to pass.” He had said. His price is hard to say, was it her youth? Her age? Perhaps her innocence?

She doesn’t know herself. She doesn’t know, and does she need to know? No. It has been so long, she insists, that it doesn’t matter. Those close are long gone, and the clan has undergone much change since she left. It doesn’t matter what the price was, nor does it matter how close she gets to those around her. Eventually, she will leave once again, journeying to find someone knew who can hear her prophetic whispers. Eventually, she’s foretold, she will be all that is left.
