Ever since he was awoken, he's often the first to greet travelers who wander to Shi'Kahr, parched and exhausted. "Oh, sweet thing," he murmurs, alighting before them in a rush of soft feathers and shining silks. "I can help you, of course I will." His touch beads cool condensation on sun-scorched foreheads, his kisses sending the sweetest water into their mouths. He's a salvation, a blessing, and he knows it.

It's best to treat him like the minor god he believes himself to be, they say - those who have snubbed him and dare to travel the desert again are said to see him from the corner of their eyes every way they turn, growing more and more lost while the illusion of sweet salvation dances just out of reach. But those are just rumors, of course. It's not as if anyone living has substantiated the tales.

★ VYORIN (the one who awakened him) The budding rune scholar was only attempting to invoke the sanctuary spells that ring Shi'Kahr when he summoned Shinat instead. The spirit is fond of his unwitting summoner, and insists that he teach him all he needs to know about the corporeal world he now occupies.
