Hatched a Snapper, Scion always knew what was in store for her. She'd known it since she was carried off as a hatchling. And while she'd been a bit concerned about what the change will be like, the idea of dreaming was exciting.
But, Andromeda eventually remembered to tell her, it had to be Scion's own choice. And Scion had to think about this. She was entirely intrigued by the notion -- by now, backing away and remaining a Snapper would have felt like something to regret. But it never seemed to be the right time.
Until the day every hatchling pasted drawings of their fellow clanmates all around the lairs. And that... well, that felt like the right time to make a change.
Scion now has a list of How Things Are As A Ridgeback.
1. Borrowing: Still baffling.
2. Sleeping. SO WEIRD. But dreams are indeed neat. Except when they're terrifying.
3. What's so bad about water?
4. AUGH NO GET IT OFF IT FEELS AWFUL GET IT OFF WATER IS TERRIBLE NOW HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!?
5. Digging is AWESOME.
6. Digging is kind of dirty. Getting clean is hard when water feels so terrible.
7. okay, borrowing when you want to get to know someone better kind of makes sense. ;)
8. Flying is also very cool! Not that one's wings don't get tired pretty quickly, but OH LOOK HOW HIGH UP AT LEAST AS LONG AS MY TAIL!
...it is entirely probable that Scion is not dignified anymore. If she ever really was. Perhaps it was just that Snappers aren't very good at being... enthusiastic.
