Rotfi hatched in a clutch of the Lightning clan. Curiosity overcame her the moment she was freed from her egg, and proved to be fruitful. Many things tasted quite nice. Bugs, frogs, bats that flew to low. Several summers came and went and her wings grew strong enough to take flight.
When a young dragon begins to fly, they are taken over by the urge to move. To climb mountains, soar over oceans, slink through meadows. This quinquennial period of adolescence is affectionately called the age of yearning.
The Oculus of the Eleven fascinated Rotfi, and she spent a few hundred years pouring through the infamous libraries of the Starfall Isles. Her yearning changed as the pages fell in her first small book. Her desires simplified greatly, to consume knowledge rather than pigs. She would leave the Oculus of the Eleven once a year to eat, & returned to her studies.
When she was ready to return to tempest spire, she flew alongside a caravan of her hoard - her books. Dwarves took on this charge, they have always been a species known for building convenient devices. In the month that it took to travel, her dwarvish improved drastically. Rotfi’s return to Tempest Spire created quite a stir in neighboring lands. Many creatures began a pilgrimage to the Tempest Spire to seek her wisdom. To aid with crops, seek advice for quarrels, & even discuss war.
Rotfi has built a community in the mountains of Tempest Spire, which she calls home. It is here that she lives among a family of her choosing, teaching them, feeding them, and caring for them. While Rofti has never taken a mate, she finds that her work tending to the clan & consulting with the creatures of the realm completes her life well enough.
