Thrush might just be the loudest Fae in the 11 kingdoms. That's not to say he doesn't have good reason to be. As the clan's official herald, he is tasked with accompanying clan representatives to formal functions and introduce them in a manner befitting ceremony and tradition. He travels mostly with Shachar and Riisekoor, though his profession requires him to herald for anyone in the clan that will be representing Elsewhere in a formal capacity.
He begins his announcements with a short, yet very bright melody belted out on his coronet. He does so very enthusiastically. Now his notes are clear as a summer sky and just as triumphant, but when he was first learning, the smattering of chipped notes that exploded from his horn caused even the most stoic of dragons to grit their teeth. Thankfully, with lessons and practice, Thrush's musicianship as reached a much better quality. Thrush's Goldthroated Sparrow is his constant companion while he's in Elsewhere, but the tiny bird is usually incapable of making long trips. When Thrush is gone, the little song bird usually flits around the Keep, perching in the oddest of places (her favorite spot is usually on a dragon's horns) and chirping constantly. Fun Fact: Thrush hates getting wet. He actively avoids all liquid that isn't in a drinking apparatus. |
