Groove found Jak flying around in circles over the Sea of a Thousand Currents, the young wind dragon having no idea how to exit the never ending water. The new leader of the Clan of the Stars led Jak out of the water realm, and patiently answered every question Jak could throw at him, and Jak walked with Groove as the leader made his way back to his Clan.

By the end of the day, the two dragons had arrived at the Clan, and the young crystal guardian saw how friendly and welcoming the Clan was - everyone had dropped what they were doing and greeted the two dragons. He saw it was a flourishing clan, so many young ones - Orphans, Groove had told him after Jak enquired about the parents whereabouts - and everyone was happy!

Jak stayed with the Clan for the night, with plans to move on the Viridian Labyrinth the next day. But when he woke in the morning, he woke to the sight of the baby coatls - a little boy and girl - snuggling up against him. When the two coatls awoke, Jak searched and found Groove - training the new adult dragons - and asked him if he could stay in the Clan. Groove had grinned, and bestowed the name Fuerza (Force) upon him, and welcomed him to the Clan; before looking at the two coatls following him and named the boy Sombra (Shadow) and the girl Seguir (Follow), and decided that Fuerza was the new caretaker of Sombra and Seguir.
