The Curious Day GuyInCorner Obtained Clarke
"Here's your sparkly Aqua/Cyan/Cyan nocturne, my child!" the dude yells. You stare at him in confusion. "What?" he sniffs. "N-Nothing sir-" you begin. "Don't call me SIR. SIR is for OLD people! SIR equals to OLD. And I, am not old." The dude then whips out his birth certificate. "I'm just 25- Wait. What! I'm gonna be 30 soon!" He listlessly glances around, stunned at the new revelation. "That's still pretty young." you say, meaning to comfort him. "You're simply a quarter of a century old."
The second sentence you uttered seemed to be unnecessary. "A QUARTER of a CENTURY old!?" he yells. You silently block your ears with tuffs of tundra fur. "I am old. Old as a SIR. OLD is SIR. I am indeed a SIR!" he rants. Again, he glances around in shock, as if he lost all the meaning he previously had in life. He looks at you and sighs. "You were right... I'm a sir..."
"Oh hush" I soothe. The dude whimpers, before he flashes with anger. "You!" he shouts, staggering along with a finger jabbing right at me, "Yes, I am a sir, but does that matter? No, most definitely not." He harrumphs. "Well," I say, snuggling up against the nocturne, "Just because I called you sir, doesn't mean you're old, plus, I'm a sir too so there." I awkwardly await the dude's answer as he bites his lip, staring at my eyes. "A-and thanks for this nocturne. Cute."
With a flourish, he beams, breaking from his sullenness, "You called me cute!". "No I-". "Gosh, yipee!" he squeals. With an unsuspected strength, he twirls me and the hatchling around in dizzying swirls. When I gain proper coordination again, I face him blushing a light tomato-y shade. " I never thought a guy like you will think of me in this way. . ." "Well, you are very strange but I guess you have your charms? By the way I didn't call you-" "Charming? Me?".
He giggles before jumping onto a wildclaw's back. The wildclaw bows with a flip of the hat. "Bye! I'll await our next visit!" he yells as he disappears into the distance. 'See ya?' I say, but he's too far in the distance to have heard me. Somehow feeling cheery, with a sprinkle of excitement and a sprig of confusion, I tread through the spiky coral, back to my lair. Hmmm... another day, another adventure...
