Borealis

A mysterious mountaineering dragon that Chillwave dragged back to the lair from one of his adventures (without explanation, of course, other than that Borealis "would introduce himself when he came to"). He had many injuries and a severe case of frostbite that clan mages Rosie, Wren and Honeysuckle were just barely able to treat in time.

Borealis has said exactly 3 words since he regained consciousness, and those were "Call me Borealis". Indeed, he responds to those that call his name, but conversations tend towards games of 20 Questions. His responses usually consist of vague grunts of disinterest, non-commital shrugs, affirmative nods, and slight scowls for "No" or "Go away". The only sort-of-confirmed facts about Borealis that have been established thus far are the following:

• He seems to be an old friend of Chillwave's, which is corroborated by a shared set of mannerisms, attitude, and overall style of appearance.
• He has a knack for Ice magic. Chroma and Mango, Southern Icefields natives themselves, are impressed, since Borealis is a Wind dragon.
• Marzipan's theory is that Borealis and Chillwave could be brothers; she was the first to notice that they shared the same exact shade of strange, pale-green eyes.

Other than the "brothers" theory, which is about as concrete as anything Chillwave himself ever says about anything or anyone related to himself, no one can tell what Borealis' deal is. He seems to wear a permanent haunted expression on his face, though, and Yuko in particular has taken a marked interest in him. Besides Chillwave, Borealis seems to get along the best with Carnation, who talks equally little.
