Biography

Hatched from a clutch of three eggs was Almandine, born to mother Hemoglobin and father Plasma. Her parents were long-time mates and before her clutch Almandine had two older brothers, a month older than her, named Lavelle and Blood. Unfortunately, Almandine knew neither of them, for as tradition with the children of her parents they had been abandoned shortly after birth. It was no surprise that Almandine and her two sisters, one older and one younger, were abandoned as well.

They thrived together for some time, not knowing of their younger siblings, born to their parents, not even really knowing of their parents for they had been abandoned so young. They were strong together, they were able and supportive, until they became separated. This left young Almandine afraid and alone.

Almandine wandered for some time, and her feisty personality only became much more stubborn and snappy. She turned down every offer of a home and she lived on her own, sticking to the shadows and coming out at night ... That is, until she met Viola, a silent Guardian dragon that had lost the charge she was to guard for life. Almandine and Viola instantly became allies, Viola with her strength and Almandine with her intelligence, and they founded the lair that they live in today.

To this day Almandine lives in happiness in the dragon lair she helped to created. She nests beside her mate, Pyrope, a quick Mirror dragon with a sadistic streak, and their children (all of which have left the lair once old enough to pursue their own futures). She loves her mate dearly, as well as their children, but recently the feisty girl has started an affair with a Ridgeback dragon named Spinel. Spinel is the ex-mate to Almandine's pretty rival Amethyst, which is most likely why she began the affair... an affair that Pyrope knows nothing of.

Almandine spends her days praying that the egg that hatches will look enough like her for Pyrope will believe it is his and not Spinel's ... but only time will tell.
