Bouquet

When Bouquet was young, everyone immediately noticed one thing about her: she had a gift for nature. She was given a tiny seed by Emmett, the gardener, when she had wandered into his garden by accident as a child.

She was thrilled at the notion of growing something, and planted it carefully in the pot he provided for her, and left it in the sun everyday. She also made it a habit of watering it with the pink watering can he gave her, and soon enough, the plant blossomed into a beautiful rose, as pink as her scales with a fragrance unmatched by any other rose Emmett had ever grown in his life.

When she showed it to Emmett, his mouth dropped and he immediately proclaimed her his protege, his eyes still admiring the vivid pink of the rose.

It also meant she got her own special spot in the garden, specially fenced off to provide her own little spot to view the plants. It also came with a little table, and Bouquet found herself enjoying a cup of tea as she nurtured the multitude of seeds she received.

Her abilities meant that everyone wanted to visit her garden - flowers positively blossomed under her tender care, and fruits she grew were sweeter than any other.

Given the number of visitors Bouquet had, she immediately started up the notion of tea parties - making use of her table and taking great care to ensure everyone got an equally frequent chance to visit her garden, even the little hatchlings, who she taught to nurture and care for the flowers.

Nowadays, though, she craves a challenge, and so she grows herbs and tea leaves in her garden, providing a variety of scents in her garden.

The hatchlings enjoy the challenge too, attempting to name all the different herbs as they walk around the garden.

Even the dove that Bouquet has made friends with enjoys the many herbs she grows, picking a new sprig every week to hold in her beak.

As Bouquet holds one of her weekly tea parties, she smiles as she watches her dove swoop down from above, placing its sprig into the jar Bouquet has designated as the compost bin, before curving around to the hatchlings as they squeal, scurrying to the herb garden to pick out a new sprig.

With a laugh, Bouquet spreads her wings to take flight as she flies off to assist them in the hunt for the herb of the week.
