Most faes tended to be very much in the field of magic, fluttering and graceful. Dellingr, on the other hand, never did well with magic nor was he very graceful. In fact, many would say he was rather all over the place and more of a hopper than a flutterer. He tried, sure he did, and he failed. He failed to be the 'perfect' fae. Rather badly. But Dellingr didn't let it hold him back, even if he supposed that it had torn him apart at one point. No, Dellingr decided to forge his own path and figure out just how much he could change the world's view on faes.

Being an orphan and never knowing his parents, he'd never gotten too much help figuring things out or getting in touch with himself or learning how to actually use the resources he had. He'd never had any teachers, simply relying on the other members of whatever clan he was currently staying with to help him work things out.

And most of the time, it worked out pretty well. It wasn't like he never got any help, because he did, but it was just that no one ever took special interest in him. No one truly devoted their time to him and him only - he was always a part of a group, a face in a sea of faces. And Dellingr wanted more, he wanted to truly dig into a topic and learn properly, learn from someone interested in teaching only him.

That dream was what changed his life.
