______ The son of a dangerously powerful mage, this dragon wants to prove that he will be just as legendary. To win his father's approval, he plans to find and punish the dragons who locked Damocles in a chest for eons. His studies are going so well that he frequently accompanies the clans' war party into battle. Deathstryke was surprised when he approached her and asked to be brought out into the field, as very few of the magic users ever partook in direct fighting. They usually provided other kinds of support; setting traps, healing spells, illusions, or covering fire from a safe distance away. But Durandal was insistent that he be on the front lines, that he needed to push himself if he wanted to improve quickly. At first Deathstryke was hesitant to allow it, but when he angrily told her about his need for revenge she gave him a wicked smile and her blessing to join the warriors. He has proven to be an excellent asset to their arsenal, with his martial magic being just as effective as his cohorts' claws and teeth.

______ Although he was born to a Plague nest, he refuses to call himself such. His mother was an Arcane dragons, and he says that he, too, is Arcane. He completely rejects his birthplace, and despises the association. No one knows why he does this, as he does not seem to harbor any prejudice towards Plague dragons. Not to mention that his father was Ice, and with the way he admires his father you'd think that he would gravitate more towards that. The theories abound; some dragons think perhaps it is his way of honoring his mother, while others say that it is his studies that make him think that a dragon's makeup should be more genetic and less tied to its birthplace. Still others think (perhaps the most correctly) that this denial is because of his desire to become the most powerful mage the world has seen. Plague dragons aren't very well-known for their magical ability, while Arcane dragons are renowned for it. Maybe it is his way of attempting to channel that kind of nuanced skill. But whether it is because he wants others to believe it or to believe it himself, no one really knows the truth.
