Harrisey
/her-ə-sē/
"Just doin' my job, ma'am."

Where does a creature's sense of right and wrong come from? Is it innate? Learned from those they grew up with? Feel free to ask Harrisey about her opinions on the subject- it's a question that she considers every day, and for good reason. Hailing from the Fortress of Ends, where frozen horrors are as common as snowflakes (which there are in uncountable number), it's not unexpected that Harrisey and her birth clan would have to consider why the creatures were imprisoned there. Some issues are clear-cut: dragon or beast bit by a Wendigo, causing them to develop insatiable hunger for anything that moves? Understandable that the Icewarden or one of his followers would banish them. But what of cases that fall into more of a grey area? What if the perpetrator of the crime just couldn't stand it anymore, and snapped? They didn't want to hurt anyone, and wouldn't have if they weren't in a panic, but the deed's already been done before their head is clear. Or, what if they never learned that what they did was wrong? Harrisey's clan took it upon themselves to help the unfortunate members of that grey area, and throughout her childhood Harrisey feels she learned where the line between mistaken and dangerous falls. So, she knew what she needed to accomplish with her life- she needed to continue the work of providing justice to both those wronged and those in the wrong.

As a Nocturne, Harrisey was aware of her innate desire to imitate the actions of others, but decided to work with her nature rather than against it. Not finding anyone in her clan that she wished to copy (not because of a distaste with them, but purely due to differences in opinion), she turned to literature and movies for inspiration. Harrisey always found herself drawn to action movies, as she loved to imagine herself as a hero, doling out justice with a side of snappy one-liners. But, her absolute favorites had to be the westerns, inspiring both her outfit and aspects of her personality. Combine that with her Southern Icefield drawl, and she became a cowboy vigilante of sorts, a traveling lawbringer who answers to nothing but her own judgement. Eventually Harrisey ended up in the Schism, where she decided to be the law in a land of chaotic magic. It reminded her of home, since it was a refuge for anyone who showed up at its doors in their time of need, and it gave her a newfound determination to right every wrong committed against them. Nothing bad will happen to the dragons and beasts under her care.
Not on her watch.
