Cecile (sə-SEEL from Latin caecus blind, dim-sighted)
Cecile is a common given name in St Marina; both Ciel Sr. and Cecile had to bear names starting with the letter C. Whether or not Cecile herself knew the connotations of blindness remains unclear.

Spica Universe
In the Spica Universe, Cecile is the last princess of St Marina, the younger twin sister of Ciel Sr. Weary of war and considering both herself and her brother incapable of leading St Marina to anything but ruin, she left home as a teen, and conceived Glacier after an affair with the faerie princess Corinne Meadows. She traveled the world extensively, raising Glacier alone before dying of a chronic cough and entrusting Glacier to the Abinnits.
