Posidonia was recruited from a water clan to be raised as an ambassador to the inhabitants of the Sea of 1000 Currents. The clan's territory is directly adjacent to (and above) the Sea, and it is in the clan's best interests to stay on good terms with their neighbors. For the most part Posidonia does a good job, he is generally calm and congenial. However, when angry, he can do more harm than good for the clan's relations with its neighbors. When necessary he is as effective in battle as any of the more 'official' clan guards and fighters.. that trident isn't just for decoration!

The genus Posidonia is named after Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas. Poseidon was known for being temperamental - When in a good mood he would create land and keep the seas calm. When angered, however, he would wreak havoc on anything that crossed his path.
