To him, the Twisting Crescendo is a welcoming place, soft spring breezes blowing flower petals across the sky often create a picturesque scenery. It easily sweeps dragons from their feet into the air like a father playing with a small child, always promising to catch them on the downfall. Though the wind can change it’s emotion from cooling zephyr to persistent gales and finally the dreaded and unforgiving hurricanes. Many who lived in the bamboo forests had learned to read the sky and her warning - dark clouds meant trouble, the smell of earthy air meant rain, and never to fully trust a bright and beautiful sun.

Though a young pearlcatcher, he had studied the ways of the wind, some say he may have even learned it’s true name. Giving someone your true name was as if to give away yourself to the simplest form, to know the name of the wind was to know all there was to it, to possess a power over it. Current considers the air about the Twisting Crescendo a close friend, someone reliable who he could call upon for aid in the direst of situations. Though he would never outwardly say, he may have even shared his name with the ancient element many years ago. Perhaps to solidify their bond as friends.

He had traveled as a shikari for hire, someone who knew the ways of the world and could easily lead expeditions forward. Though of course it was with the help of an old friend he was able to do so. If he ever felt lost, all he need do is feel a breeze softly tug at his mane in the direction he was to go. Current could also ask for clues if he needed to find something, the gales could carry many things: leaves of particular herbs or foods, scents of lurking enemies or prey, or perhaps voices if he need hear a conversation that were to be kept from prying ears.

”Tell me old friend, how are you everywhere and always the same? During winter you are cold and biting, in summer you are hot and suffocating.. But you are always my friend regardless.” The dragon raised his head and looked to the sky, as if searching for something he could not see. In response his clothing and mane were blown back, his eyes squinting as he was enveloped in a warm breeze. Current laughed as he shook his head, almost as if he had been told a joke. ”I understand - don’t ask questions I already know the answer to, yes?” He let the smile linger on his lips while his friend twisted a bunch of grass and petals in the air, twisting them into a whirlwind high into the air before releasing them. Allowing the debris to flutter lifeless to the ground. The dragon continued on, though he walked alone it did not bother him, for his companion was always beside him pointing him in the right direction.
