Biography
![](/rendern/portraits/287288/28728726p.png)
Once, the hunters of the clan took a chance and ventured into Plague flight territory. There they scavenged for food, materials, anything useful, and found plenty, far more than expected-- but all efforts stopped when Nayruin let out a call, summoning her kin to her side.
She had uncovered a tiny egg, sickly green as Plague eggs often were, abandoned in the cold remains of a broken nest. Whatever dragons had laid it must have either moved on or been chased out, the hunters thought solemnly.
They took pity on the unborn orphan, and agreed they couldn't simply leave it to die-- so they rushed home to their lair, egg in tow. Arinel delighted at the sight of a Plague egg, something far more familiar to her than the eggs of Arcane nests, and quickly assessed that they had returned just in time; the young life was on the threshold of death, but-- hopefully-- not yet past the point of no return.
The young midwife took personal responsibility for the egg, warming it, caring for it, and praying to the Plaguebringer, the Arcanist, anyone who would listen, that the orphan would pull through.
Then, one day, the egg shifted, cracked, split, and Arinel all but cheered as the hatchling finally emerged. A tiny Fae, a boy with dark scales and sickly green wings, looked up at her with Plague-red eyes, and she fell in love at once. She decided she would raise the boy-- who she named Exinth-- herself, and vowed that he would never be abandoned again.
"You have a family now, little one," she cooed, wrapping the shivering hatchling in a warm cloth. "You'll know a mother's love, a clan's nurturing, and a home's warmth.
"I promise."
Ambassador of Plague, adopted son of Arinel, mate of Aryali.
