Hávarðr
SCIOMANCER || NIGHT WAITSTAFF

Etymology
Old Norse name composed of the elements há "high" and varðr "defender, guardian," hence "high guard."

Hávarðr was born into a small kingdom within the Nature Flight with his older siblings, Valkyrie, Brandr, and Ánleifr, though he really grew up knowing his eldest brother as the others embarked on their own journeys at a young age. As Ánleifr was the rightful heir to the throne of the kingdom, Hávarðr swore to protect him, and underwent the harsh training of becoming a knight.

However, before Hávarðr could complete his training, his brother had disappeared suddenly, no scent trail of him left behind. This left Hávarðr distraught, and he shortly quit his training in order to search for his brother. Though as time passed, the kingdom gave up searching for him and Hávarðr's parents began trying to convince him to take over as heir of the throne. Hávarðr refused. For if he had failed to protect his own brother, how was he supposed to protect an entire kingdom?

He left them not long after in a hollow daze, and found himself turning to unhealthy means in order to deal with his grief.

That was when Finnick had found him- and offered to assist him with locating his brother if he'd join him in his kingdom. He taught him the art of sciomancy, as spirits wandered among them, wherever they pleased. Surely, a spirit would help Hávarðr locate his brother.

But so far, the spirits have been silent.
