Aldryd woke up bleary-eyed. He felt the power of the glitch flow through him, and his shadow was a colored, pixelated hologram. He had inherited the powers from the Glitch Queen.
No one dared to speak her name except those spawned from her lineage. And those who spawned from her lineage were avoided by all, aside from a few who made them their mates.

Aldryd grinned, and his hologram shadow flickered out with a fizzling sound, as he roared. It came out as a broken, disturbing sound, rife with grinding beeps and whirring noises.
He spread his wings and screamed.
"I aM thE nEXt GLiTCH KiNG!"
"SySTeM cORrUpteD sEnd HeLP"
"aLL hAiL NAoMi!"
He touched his claw to a plant, and it immediately grew and became pixelated. It uprooted and its roots dissolved as it grew monstrous tendrils, limbs, and wings. Its new eyes glowed an empty white.
"sYSteM UndER cOntROL."
"HeLLo, MAsTer," said the creature.
Aldryd laughed maniacally, with grating sounds taking over his laugh as it got louder and louder.
The pixel creature spazzed erratically and shape-shifted repeatedly into monstrous forms.
Each step it took, the land glitched and pixelated. It then continued to glitch and jump around.
Aldryd yelled to the sky, "I pRoCLaiM tHis LaND tHE LiViNG GLitCH. I wiLL CoNTROL thE WOrLD AnD eNSLaVe eVery CreaTUre WiTH mY gLItCH!!"
"ThE WOrLD WiLL bE the LivING GLitCH! LoNG LiVE MY aRMY!"
He named his messed-up monstrosity 'Pet'.
He was such a terror to the world that he has been imprisoned on an island, made to think it is the whole world, and he and Pet live there, in their glitch, where no one comes close.
Whoever goes too close can later be seen relaxing on the island...
Making garbled sounds and watching you through their glowing white eyes.
