Divmyr once enjoyed the luxury of the Shadowbinder's court. Known only as Shadowsneak by the common dragons, Divmyr was the Shadowbinder's personal spy. He had enough dirt on all of the clans in the Tangled Wood to bury them with, and for this information he was given a place in the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. He wanted for nothing. He had riches aplenty and the company of any female (or male, he isn't picky) he wished.

Eventually, Divmyr's luck ran out. A particularly determined wildclaw exposed him as a spy and an informant to the Shadowbinder, who promptly cut all ties with Divmyr. Turned away by his mistress, Divmyr was banished from the Tangled Wood. Shadowsneak faded into legend, and Divmyr was left to wander across Sorneith. Now poor and bitter, Divmyr set out to make a new life for himself, far from the Tangled Wood and the now-hated Shadowbinder.

While making his way across the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Divmyr met an old, half-mad guardian that offered to tell him his fortune in exchange for an afternoon's conversation. As the sun began to set she offered him a diamond ring, telling him that his fate lied in that little sparkly trinket before she slipped away into the depths. Divmyr thought long and hard about the ring, eventually coming to the conclusion that he was meant to go to the Southern Icefields. True enough, his new home was found among the clan of a guardian named Kelaun. Divmyr offered the ring as tribute to his new patriarch, along with his services as a master spy.

Divmyr mostly keeps to himself. Due to his past, he has a difficult time trusting others. He enjoys the company of a few members of the clan, but other than that he prefers to be alone. He is closest to Kelaun, due to the fact that he works directly under him and keeps the least secrets from him. While he used to see Kelaun as a mere stepping stone to power, he has a genuine connection with the guardian. Kelaun is one of the few dragons that Divmyr shows true benevolence towards. However, Divmyr has never gotten along with Zenthra, and his presence in the clan has become a point of contention between the two.

In his free time, Divmyr prefers to swim in the frigid lakes and rivers he finds in the Tundra. The water is much clearer than in the Shadow Lands, and Divmyr finds the ice-cold water refreshing. When he has an extended vacation, he loves a good treasure hunt; there is no distance he would not travel to get the shiniest bauble. It is partly to prove his worth to his new clan, though Divmyr has always loved a personal challenge. To satisfy both is a double win as far as he is concerned.

Though it surprises some, Divmyr has always been superstitious. Clanmates often find him piling sticks in odd patterns, placing ordinary rocks with his personal treasure, or walking in a circle three times before he sleeps. He puts an enormous amount of faith in the rare prophecies given by Water dragons, and he makes offerings to the Icewarden every new moon. However, he never misses an opportunity to blaspheme against the Shadowbinder, regardless of whether or not it offends his clanmates.
