═══════════════════════════════════════════ TAMARIX The wind under her wings, her silks twirling around her, the dizziness in her head… She loved it, she loved the feeling of dancing without restrains and nothing and no one would ever take it away from her. Not again. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ Tamarix was born under the sight of the Arcanist, as her eyes suggested but she knew nothing of her parents or her Clan. With nowhere to call home she moved from place to place, at first asking if anyone knew about a Clan who’d lost a baby but soon, after so many negative answers, she just let it go. Never settling for long periods, she earned her board and lodging doing the only thing she came to know: dancing. She was a sight, spinning in the air like that was her element, feeling free and powerful and everyone loved watching her, charmed by the beautiful shapes she drew in air. The Starfall Isles became too small for her and, since nothing kept her there, she decided to visit the rest of Sornieth, always earning her share though her dance. But all good things have to come to an end. She reached the Scarred Wasteland planning to keep up her usual routine: a couple of days or a week in one place, dancing and spreading what little joy and beauty she could and then move on, to the next place. She managed to perform for some Clans and they loved her as always, but then one dragon loved her too much. Love is not what he felt, he was obsessed with her: he followed Tamarix when she left for the next Clan and captured her. She was kept prisoner for months until a rival Clan murdered him and found her in a cage, malnourished and almost mad. They had no reason to keep her and the thought of putting her out of her misery but one of them remembered her: she was the Wind Dancer that they saw months before! They couldn’t do much for her other than set her free and feed her what little they could spare. Although her sanity was still far away she thanked them and after some time she left, deciding to leave the lands of the Plaguebringer. Fate wanted that she was near the border with the Tangled Woods and she had no hesitation in crossing it. She greeted the dark of the Shadowbringer, such a difference from the sick light of the Wandering Contagion or the pink glow of the Starfall Isles and the woods reminded her so much of her hatchlinghood in the Starwood Strand. She managed to move inside the land almost until the border with the Viridian Labytinth when she fell, exhausted. Thankfully for her, Vensom was on patrol in that exact place that day and when she saw the unknown Skydancer falling from the sky he sprinted to save her. She woke up in the De Ferr Clan a couple of days later, after Kea nursed her up to health. Her mind wasn’t yet healed although her body was back to health but no one questioned her when she vanished, in the middle of anything to just go and fly, fluttering in the air, dancing and thinking of nothing. Visia was the one to talk to her after a while: she offered her a place in the Clan if she wanted it. Not a prison but a home this time, somewhere she could be free, surrounded by friends and maybe, one day, a family of her own… She accepted her offer and now everyone can see her dancing in the sky, at any given time, without having to worry anymore about food or a place to sleep in. And not even of being captured again as she knew Vensom and Shruikan and all the other Guards, who loved her as family, would never let anyone hurt her or steal the wind from her wings again. When Tsuki joined the Clan he was but a small, scared hatchling, abandoned at the border of the Clan’s territory. She felt somewhat alike to the small Skydancer, being an orphan herself. When Tsukuyomi grew up though she started to notice him more and more: when he was happy or sad or angry, she always knew and she danced for him, hoping to make him feel better. And Tsuki… Tsuki was in love with her after the first moment he saw her. The silks she wears are a gift from Tsukuyomi, the first thing he bought with the treasure he earned with his Visions and she wears them everyday. | x |
