Biography
Quartz is a big lover of literature, books and plays of all sorts. His children, Charybdis, likes it the most out of his Fae brothers and sisters too. Quartz's work is mostly with the Forest Rangers as the scribe. He manages all the reports and can read maps splendidly. It comes in handy when you want a precise location of enemy bases.
He knows how to fend for himself well, and helped the clan's mages with teaching the young hatchlings speech and reading. His familiar constantly sheds the horns on its head which are fashioned into sturdy quills for writing. Feathers were making everyone sneeze to much. There is another dragon in the lair named Quartz so often it gets confusing when you try to talk about either one of them.
Unfortunately, Quartz's tale is a sad one. His first child, Charybdis was stolen not long sfter he was born, but his next nest with Moonstone was worse. Before hatching, the egg was stolen in the middle of the night by beastclans. They had outnumbered the clan and faked a diversion only to soon take his daughter whom he never saw again. Since then, dragons tell each other these stories and rarely leave their nests or hatchlings unattended.
Nowadays, Quartz helps teach hatchlings their writing and reading skills. He also takes them on trips to the Kiwi Kiosk, a local library and toy shop. As motivation for his students to pick up reading as a hobby, he promises that any hatchlings that complete their final reading challenge will get to pick a toy out from the kiosk. After hours, Quartz continues work as a scribe going over paperwork for the clan's expenses when his father, Naomi, is busy on house calls. As such, he always makes sure that the paperwork for the kiosk is up to date so the hatchlings and book-loving dragons alike can all have a place to educate their minds. His grand-daughter, Caracal, loves poetry and loves to send Quartz her poems, be it in her tricky ways.
