Brayen caused a massive outbreak in the Shifting Expanse, mostly by accident, and entirely because he did not think about the consequences of his actions. Most of the Shade infections I am seeing in all of Southern Sorineth come from that incident, and while he has apologized and done his best to right his wrong, it does not negate the countless lives lost an altered by the sheer mass of his hubris. Brayen himself is highly Shadetouched, but I excavated it out of him before he could turn into a beast or die. However, he can no longer wield any magic, as the Shade drained it. He cannot infect anyone.
