she walks in beauty, like the night

liadan is a powerful spirit of unknown origin. after an eternity of existence, she became tired of the limitations of her incorporeal nature. she brewed up a spell like none other she had yet imagined and magicked herself a body. her physical being was a disappointment, at first - a dull form, a lack of material wealth, the curtailment of her once near-limitless powers - but a little patience on her part quickly sorted things out. she made some modifications to her shape, conjured up a suitable hoard, and whipped up a little black magic to summon a consort from the depths. he did not suit her, however, and she quickly tired of him. on a foray into surrounding territory, she encountered another fae with magical powers, and while they postured at first, they quickly became friends. aoibhe, the woodland enchantress, returned to hold court with liadan. emboldened by this positive turn of events, liadan summoned another consort from the depths. this one was much more to her liking, and she quickly began molding him to fit her preferences.
