As soon as Finwian laid eyes on Waterdance, he knew that he'd found his charge. Not only that, but he felt a tingle in his heart - was it love?
It turned out to be love. Finwian cared for Waterdance deeply, their bond as guardian and charge only strengthening their love. Finwian felt what Waterdance felt; he felt her pain, joy, and sadness. He defended her against threats and growled a warning to those who were rude and insensitive. He brought food to the clan when Waterdance was unable, and he helped Waterdance bond with Starlight, the Longneck Mender and her newfound charge.
In return, Waterdance loved Finwian more than even her charge, finding that the bond between Starlight and her was more of friendship than of love. She fought for him and wept for him, and loved every aspect of his being.
So when the couple discovered that the Tidelord had blessed them with a nest of 4 eggs, they could not be happier.
