WindSong was born in the Shrieking wilds, abandoned by her family. She grew up fending for herself among the trees, until one day she accidentally attacked a young tundra. After a fit of flustered apologies, the two became quick friends. Eventually, they fell in love and made a family together. This is how the clan started, deep in the verdant confines of the Everbloom Gardens. Her family was happy, and so was WindSong, however it was not long before WindSong began to feel the Wasteland's heartbeat calling to her. When GoldenWing and one of their daughters left to serve the Gladekeeper, WindSong picked up her family's meager belongings and shifted their territory to bleaker skies. When she arrived in the wasteland with her remaining daughter, WindSong began building her clan. Under her leadership, the clan grew swiftly, and although she was a strict leader, she was a truly kind dragon, and went out of her way to invite dragons who had been abandoned, forgotten, or left behind, not unlike herself., until the clan grew into a bustling lair that was home to every flight and breed in Sornieth. While she is happy with the life she has built for her family and the dragons around them, WindSong still feels a strange sense of loss whenever she looks to the north, where the Behemoth towers over every living thing. The loss she feels is fading, but she wonders now if she really wants it gone. One day, without warning, a black and gold tundra appeared on the horizon. After years of service under his deity, he had left and attempted to return to his clan. Finding that WindSong and his daughter were not where he had left them, he spent months travelling the world, looking for his family. After barely showing any emotion for years, WindSong embraced her long-lost love, welcoming him happily back to her new family.

WindSong runs her lair with a harsh disposition and leaves little room for error among her clan members. She is strong believer in teamwork and cooperation, and believes everyone should work together for the greater good. While the clan respects her, few would actually consider themselves her friends. She is very much a perfectionist who just wants everything to be done properly, and often does not directly show her love for others so she does not compromise their role in the clan. Despite her harsh rule, WindSong cares deeply for her clan, and she believes that everybody deserves to have a home and a family, which leads to her frequently taking in unwanted dragons and abandoned hatchlings. |

Airship AU:
In the AU, WindSong, GoldenWing, and MintChip are Wind dragons instead of Nature dragons. After discovering a portion of land being levitated by a mysterious fount of wind magic, the small family chose to build the beginnings of their lair at the centre of the area. After a while, and as more and more dragons began living in the lair and emitting magic, the town began to lift into the air! With some engineering, the clan worked together to give the lair a means of moving around.WindSong acts as the lair's pilot, and does not have as much of a leadership role. As more dragons began to investigate the strange floating lair and as WindSong adopted more hatchlings, the lair slowly grew into a large town. Most dragons living in town desire a quiet but interesting place to work or live their lives, and nonchalant dragons with a love of traveling will also settle there just to see Sornieth from a different perspective.
While the lair cannot ever land on the ground, dragons will typically enter the lair from it's main landing pad at the front of town. There is an anchor attached to the underside of the town which can be used to keep the lair in place, and the pulley system attached to it is used to take new dragons, beastclans, or goods aboard if they cannot be brought up by a single flying dragon.
Although she may not be as cold as her Plague counterpart, this version of WindSong still runs her lair like a well-oiled machine, keeping every aspect of it's inner workings in a consistent and functioning state.
