The Hatchling Keeper
"Hello there~" Credella purred out as she spotted your unlucky soul hesitantly creep into her domain. "Are you here to pay off your debt? Or...are you here for a loan?" Her brow slowly rose, the look in her glowing red eyes foretelling her mischievous intentions as you begin to shake. A smirk forming over her jowls as you step closer to her, your body endlessly quivering in a sense of fear.
"Ah, a Hatchling is what you would like from me this fine day? Well...let me fetch my stone tablet and I'll inscribe your name, the Hatchling's ID you seek, and when you will be around to retrieve them." The hefty female arose from her nest, the deep brown feathers of a few hundred unlucky Owlcats sticking to her belly and flank before fluttering back into the soft pile. The ground slightly rumbling beneath her feet as she nearly slithered across the floor and down a blackened cavern hall. Her deep voice echoing back in light grumbles, the sound of stones crashing and sliding following soon after.
A few mintues passed, your nervousness growing more and more as her prophanic words reached your ears. A sigh momentarily leaving your lips as she returned, towering above you with a sandy colored slab gently clutched between her impressively sharp teeth. She, so elegantly and surprsingly soundless, climbed up the large steps to her roost and laid herself back down. "My apologies, I had forgotten to fetch my supply of freshly sculpted tablets from my supplier. For now, I will write your name on this one and transfer it over later."
She enscribes your name upon her slab, taking the ID of the Hatchling you have chosen, and the time and or date you will be able to claim them. "If you come to me on the date in which you set to claim the Hatchling but, cannot, I will start a Ping-by-Day tab. You will pay a certain amount until the debt has been paid." Credella glanced up at you from the stone tablet, the depths of seriousness on her features almost as frightening as her appearence itself. You hold your breath as your eyes lock with hers, nodding your head slowly in understanding. You take a second to think before telling her everything she needed to know. A small, very small, smile working onto her face.
"Good luck with caring for that Hatchling. The higher reputation you earn here for rehoming a Hatchling on time could come with high rewards." She could see the look of intrigue dancing within your orbs, chuckling in pure satisfaction since it let her know you will be back just for the rewards. But, before you could ask her what kind in specific, she waved you off so then she could rest. You decide it would be best to come back and find out then rather than make her grumpy. She was way bigger than you after all.
