Zard would die for Eira and their clan. Zard would do anything if it would make his loved ones happy. Zard, if past experiences are to be believed, would likely also decide you are one of his loved ones if you give him a warm laugh and a good-natured smile.

He's the kind of dragon who insists that he'll do whatever it takes to maintain the safety of his clan. A more apt way of phrasing it, instead, would be that he'd make a million mistakes to make the world safe and sound for them, even if it's because that's the only thing he can do. Often, when he worries about someone's well-being, this concern tends to be expressed as a brash psuedo-confidence that tears most eyes from the real root of the issue.

Now that he's got his charge with him, he doesn't look back; who needs that uncertainty born of thinking of the past? This present moment might be all we have left.

Fears include that of uncertainty, long drops, irrelevancy, ticking noises.
Likes the feeling of a full stomach, longnecks, the feeling of moss on smooth stone, sounds of amusement even if it's at his own expense.
