Although Trinity does not connect herself to a religion, she lives amongst the cult led by Sunbeam. She is their tie to the outside world, leader of the only non-religious family there. She and her mate Alexander and their children travel outside the gates to cities and towns and buy goods and necessary resources and trade and sell them back to the cult members. They keep their faces covered as per their agreement with Sunbeam, as she doesn't want their youth to be tainted by non-believers, but still sees Trinity's family as a necessary evil.
