Aphthous and Gangrene began the Rotloch at a young age. Almost a year after the beginning of the Rotloch, the Domain was attacked by nature dragons. The fighting was intense and Aphthous had his right wing membrane tore in multiple places. Aphthous was also struck by a spell that that caused the flesh on his head to rot and flowers to grow across his wings and sides. When the fighting ended Gangrene began to treat his wounds, she gave him a wooden wing, but couldn’t do anything about the rotting flesh or flowers. She also put the wooden treads on Aphthous to cover some of his other wounds. To this day, the rotten flesh has not fallen off or gotten any better nor have the flowers stopped growing. With his wooden wing, Aphthous can’t fly anymore, but he can still put up a fight from the ground.
