“Do you know how it feels to die, and then be pulled back through the darkness into the light? It’s an odd feeling, really. One moment you are floating there, musing over your memories, and the next you feel a tug. Suddenly you’re racing so fast it hurts, and a light grows brighter and brighter. And then? Well, I opened my eyes for the first time in centuries…” No one knows his name. He prefers it that way. When Pandemonium woke from his eternal slumber, much had changed. For one thing, he was buried deep underground. Unacceptable, of course. When he finally emerged to the surface, he was met with a blinding light and then screams. It seemed he had emerged right in the middle of a market. Guards nervously marched up to him, shaking in their boots as they pointed spears at him. Why were they so afraid? Pandemonium then held up a paw and looked at himself. So this is what happens when you lay underground for hundreds of years. His bones shined through his almost-transparent crystal hide, pulsing slightly with a cold glow. How interesting. Pandemonium opened his mouth and attempted to communicate for the first time. Soil fell from his jaw, and his voice was cracked and quiet. It was then he said his first words. “Hello mortals… it seems I’ve returned from the dead. How funny is that?” The guards ran. They needed to get a higher authority to tell them what was happening. The clan’s leader warily approached the imperial. After confirming this was not an Emperor, they tentatively allowed Pandemonium to join the clan. They gave him a nice cave near the edge, and some gold to start his savings. He lives there in moderate peace, still pondering over his past and what he could of done differently. And most of all, why he was brought back. He may never know the answer, but Pandemonium will do his best to enjoy his second chance. Many young dragons ask Pandemonium how he died, if it hurt, what being dead was like… He only answers the final question. When one asks how he died, his face darkens, and he will let out a low growl before leaving. The truth is, he remembers all too well. How his mate betrayed him and poisoned his drink. How he was half-conscious as she and her lover dragged him deep into the forest and started digging. And finally, how they threw him in the pit and slowly covered his body. He tried to scream out for help, but it was no use. Pandemonium perished that night, suffocated under the earth. |

Personality When not sitting in his lair trying to figure out his purpose, Pandemonium is a rather kind dragon. He loves a good joke, often joking about his appearance and when dragons run. He doesn’t mind, if he saw one like him he would run too. He tries his best to not be scary, keeping a grin on his face. Although, he’s always grinning… that happens when your skull shines through. During Trickmuck time though, he’s always a hit. In the darkness of his cave Pandemonium sits deep in thought, dwelling on his past memories, or why he was brought back to walk the earth again.
