Sephtis is the leader of the lair, the most adept hunter, and the strongest warrior within it. Always prepared for a fight, he will do all in his might to protect his lair and those that reside within it, even if it were to cost him his life. He will make sure that all have everything they need to survive, and always hates seeing some of them go, but they are free to live their lives to the fullest. He often sits around and watches the hatchlings play, making sure they are all safe, and giving Eprene, the custodian of the nesting grounds some time to relax. Most often he will hunt alone, but will take other dragons with him to teach them the tricks to surviving out in the harsh plague ridden lands. His origins are unknown, as he refuses to tell a soul about his past, and claims he does not remember his parents, although once, when he was slightly intoxicated, he slipped up and said one thing about them. They were both warriors till the end. He is almost never seen without his headdress on, only taking it off when he is alone or extremely comfortable around another dragon. His first love was Bashemath, a guardian, whom he had three hatchings with. All three ran off as soon as they were old enough to fend for themselves, but one, Glade, had promised to one day return, and she did. Bashemath left soon after the hatchlings had, to go fight for the Plaguemother, he had waited for a long time for her to return, but when she did, the clan saw him smile, and even cry, for the first ever time. By some clans, he is seen as a Windego, mainly through the Windego skin headdress he wears, and the way he hunts and stalks around, alone. The clans that see him as a Windego have spread a rumor that Sephtis has killed, and afterwards, eaten, another dragon. They are too scared to ask what is true. His familiar, Bullet the deaths-head stag was found as a fawn, a brave one at that. As small and weak as he was, he still tried to fight Septhtis off. His parents were a part of Sephtis's hunt, but his fighting spirit amused Sephtis, and he was taken under his wing. Now, Bullet sometimes runs off with Sephtis on hunts, helping either herd, or lull other fauna into traps, and often playfighting with Sephtis. |
