What difference does it make, we who are born of the same sea and sky? All dragons sing to the same moon, praise the same sun. What need is there for conflict when we share the same earth?

She'd always been good at looking at the bigger picture.

As the clan's true leader--proven someday, she is sure--she must be understanding and have foresight. As a Hearthkeeper, she tends to the fire that envelops the clan in warmth. As a Spirit Guide, she must be willing to see beyond facades, to peer into the face of truth and to accept fate for what it is.

It's a good life, not an easy one.

When the challenge comes, she will be ready to face it.

Dragons with Clan Roles
Long-term residents of the Sun Soul clan are few and far between, most existing in a state of flux as the generations move and change. Most notable long-term residents are as follows:

Mnemeth (Left), Weyrleader, ruler of Clan Oakheart, co-founder with the Golden Queen Ramoth (Right).

Catamount, partner of Ifrit, and one of the most revered Elder Queens of the Sun Soul Clan. Role is largely advisory, guardian's Charge is the clan's hatchlings, eggs, nests and nesting grounds.

Ifrit. Clan Leader, partner of Catamount, named after the god of fire, clan sentinel and guardian- rarely speaks, thinks deeply, ever vigilant. Never sleeps, serves as a beacon to passing boats out on the ocean, because whenever inclined, he can glow as brightly as the heart of a star.

Solas. Clan translator, historian, intelligent and erudite and most of all, beautiful.

Poe, Clan historian, archivist, dancer. Extremely accomplished ice mage and acrobat, avid ice skater.

Merlin, Clan enchanter, mystic, diviner, astronomer. Can tell dragon's fortunes and their fates according the stars.

Empress, Clan diplomat, Master of Ceremonies, Queen of All She Surveys, spoiled cat snake child.

locosus, either a necromancer/voodoo witch, or else an extremely adept magician and trickster. Joint custody with Catkinstarchild/ on enforced leave from Oakheart Clan as a consequence of suspected involvement with cataclysmic forest fire.

Augustine, Murderess. Femme fatale. Collects and hoards porcellain dolls, will absolutely break anyone who threatens or harms hatchlings or innocents.

JackTheRipper, Dangerously mad lifemate and shadow of Augustine, she keeps him in check. Odd sense of justice and honour. Only kills shades and beastclans, but seems to derive far too much enjoyment out of it.

Carnivale , clan clown and entertainer, adept dancer, boogie king, loves to make people smile, which he does extremely well.

Ehuang , Clan alchemist, battle mage, confectionary artisan, decorator. [color]

Xiang , Clan scout, battlemage, guardian of his sister in particular, patrols the borders of Sun Soul Clan day and night, watching travellers in case they stray too close. [color]
