Hera

Hera is a granddaughter to Nefertiti and a friend of Scarlette’s. Hera knows that Scarlette is very dear to Nefertiti and does her best to protect Scarlette, even from herself at times. Hera, unlike her cousin Ramses, remembers the clan founders and how kind they were to her grandmother, Nefertiti, and how Nefertiti would help care for many of the founder’s offspring when she was younger.

When the founders, Elysia and Fabio, answered the call of the Stormcatcher, most of the core family followed. Scarlette and a handful of her cousins stayed with Nefertiti. Since that time, many-a dragon comes from all over to join the Katshepsut’s Clan because of the great stories of Nefertiti and her wisdom.

Hera knows that it is Nefertiti and her dedication to the Clan and their god that makes this Clan what it is today. Although Hera understands Nefertiti’s plans to keep the original bloodline on the throne with Scarlette, Hera’s daughter, Lillah, does not understand.

Each time Hera tries to explain Nefertiti’s reasons, the discussion becomes a heated argument with Lillah. Lillah is adamant that the rightful heirs to the throne of the Clan belong to Nefertiti’s bloodline and no one else. No matter how many times Lillah is told the story of the founders and their relationship to Scarlette, the information falls on deaf ears.

Hera knows that someday Nefertiti will hear the call of the Stormcatcher and Scarlette must take over the Clan, as is her birthright. Hera plans on helping Scarlette with the task once Scarlette's time comes to step into being the next Clan Keeper as the rightful heir even though she knows it may ruin her relationship with her daughter, Lillah.
