Kira

Alanna is relieved that Kira's name does not start with an "A". Kira is an old friend of Alvortem's. They knew each other as children (or rather, toddler to teenager) back in Alvortem's homelands, but of course, they were separated when Alvortem fled to... well... here. When introduced to Alvortem (around the same time as Alvar and Alnilam), Alvortem was very excited to see Kira again. Kira needed some prodding in her memory. She's a sweet dragon, but a little on the older side. She eventually remembered Alvortem and has decided to stay with him as a full-time nanny. While Alvar and Alanna go to hunt and Alvortem heads to the marketplace, she allows the children to climb over her. She is very soft, and the children love her.

Oh dear, she does seem to be a bit old to do any more traveling. She says she will probably stay and watch the kids while the "youngins go and save the lands".
